In my Country there is Problem
Anti-semitism: only occasionally amusing.
Ali G’s alter-ego, Kazakh journalist Borat, manages to convince a room of country and western fans to join in some musical Jew-bashing. Funny and scary at the same time.
Sacha Baron Cohen, the comedian behind Borat, is jewish himself so he can get away with that sort of thing.

The man just does not show any embarrassment whatsoever and that’s what makes him so funny. Take it you saw it on Friday or Saturday?

I just don’t find him funny at all. And are we sure its funny to get a room full of rednecks to engage in jew-bashing (I think its pretty scary)? I wasn’t keen on Ali-G either. It makes me feel really really uncomfortable.

It is not his fault that these people are anti-semitic, he is just exposing the fact. It’s both scary and worthy of ridicule.
As for Ali G, I liked the early stuff.
Personally, I don’t think the characters are that funny, but people’s reaction to them and their acceptance of them is.
